Prospective students will often get the chance to supply additional information with their application through supplemental essays. An example of this might be a specific scholarship available outside of a program’s regular award process. It’s more commonly used to explain weaker areas of an application like a low college GPA or lack of exposure to advanced analytical work in your professional background. Conversely, you might want to highlight an important part of your background (i.e. community involvement) that isn’t reflected in your application.

Unlike those for traditional two-year MBA programs, Executive MBA application interviews rarely involve case study exercises or random (uncomfortable) questions about your biggest failures and what they might reveal about you. Instead, Executive MBA programs are more focused on understanding your career trajectory and getting a better sense of you personally to determine whether you would be a good fit for their program. Having an “EMBA elevator pitch” ready for the experience will allow you to relax and show off the best version of yourself.

Excluding prep for an entrance exam, a good EMBA application typically takes about a solid month - 6 weeks to put together, giving you enough time to build a strong application portfolio without major stress. However, many times a decision to apply to an Executive MBA program doesn’t crystallize until a couple weeks before a deadline. If you find yourself in that situation, Ascend Admissions can still support you. The upcharge is at Ascend’s discretion depending on availability and current client load, but for any services required within three weeks of a deadline, a 20% premium will typically apply.
